A new normal may be setting in for you. Morning sickness or all day sickness is what it is and you're learning to cope. The reality of pregnancy may finally be setting in as well. Can you believe you're a quarter of the way to the end of pregnancy already?

Ten weeks! You have finally hit double digits! I know you're still in the first trimester - but this is a good thing. You have to hit the double digits before you can hit the second trimester. Hang in there.

As for pregnancy symptoms, you're probably not sure if they are getting better or if you're getting better at managing them - but the outcome is the same - you're feeling a bit better. Not perfect - but better. If you've had a rough couple of weeks, you'll take feeling better, even if not perfect. Some moms even welcome feeling slightly bad, they say it lets them know they are still pregnant.

Your baby has had some amazing growth. If you had an ultrasound just a few weeks ago, you would have seen a blob with some flickering pixels. Now you can see arms and legs and it's pretty amazing. You did that! You did it without even thinking about it. I like to joke that pregnant women don't have to go to bed and think - "Tonight I need to make some kidneys!" It just happens.

This growth means that your body is changing too. While the uterus is still technically inside the pelvis, some moms might be showing some growth. It may be that their body is just different shaped to begin with and they have nowhere for an expanding uterus to hide or they are having more than one baby or whatever - some people have baby bumps and it's cool! That doesn't mean you should panic if you don't have one yet - soon.

The other cool thing is that in the next few weeks, you will get the chance to hear your baby's heartbeat. It sounds really fast - about 160-180 beats per minute. That's about twice as fast as an adult's heart. You will know right away that it is not your heart beat - no matter how stressed you are. This is a great appointment to bring someone with you. It's also a good time to record the sound. You'll be able to play it back to people who might be interested or at least listen when you feel like it. Sometimes it takes awhile to hear the heartbeat, don't panic.

have you taken a pregnancy photo yet? You had better get going - you will be really sorry that you missed the first trimester, especially after you see the crazy things people do on Pinterest. Figure out what makes you happy and do it - but do it repeatedly to get some great memories.
