The Fat-Burning Man Show

Abel James embraces all-things Paleo, alternative health, natural wellness and primal fitness. I had the chance to interview him on my own podcast a few years ago (it's not available anymore - sorry!), and he's a legitimately smart and entertaining guy whose shows make for great and educational listening. You may just find yourself drinking the proverbial Kool-Aid... although that's probably not a very Paleo thing to do.

The Model Health Show

Shawn Stevenson is another podcaster who I had the true honor of interviewing back in the day. His  story of overcoming severe physical ailments is a testament to his Shawn Stevenson Model, and his podcast is designed to enlighten listeners about their own health in a lighthearted and entertaining way.

Motion Traxx

The Motion Traxx podcasts aren't shows, per se. Rather, they're steady-beat workout music put together by DJ Deekron, "The Fitness DJ," to help you stay on track during your next cardio session. You can choose a podcast based on the beats per minute of the track to help you run, cycle or dance at a specific pace. There are even options designed specifically for treadmill, elliptical and cycling.

Total Human Optimization

The Total Human Optimization podcast by Onnit offers insights and information into training, supplementation and nutrition from top experts and athletes. Lean Power Yoga

Granted, there are only a total of 10 podcasts recorded in the Lean Power Yoga podcast, but these 10 are worth a download. What you get are actual yoga practices that you can perform whenever, wherever, simply by listening to the instructions and cues from the instructor.

I was skeptical at first that it would be possible to follow along with a yoga class from a podcast, but I was impressed! As long as you're familiar with standard yoga poses (the Warrior sequences, Triangle Pose, Mountain Pose, Forward Fold, Cobra, and so forth), you shouldn't have a problem following along. And hey, a free podcast is a lot cheaper than a $20 single-class fee at a studio.
