Broccoli is a very good source of fiber, about half of which is soluble and half insoluble. It is an excellent source of Vitamin C and Vitamin K, a very good source of folate, and a good source of Vitamin A, manganese, and potassium.

In addition, broccoli is one of the cruciferous vegetables, which have been shown to have anti-cancer properties. It is also one of the foods with the highest levels of antioxidant phytonutrients on a per-calorie basis.
