National fitness expert Chris Freytag has been teaching, training, writing books and speaking on the subject of health and fitness for the last 25 years. Chris is the founder of GetHealthyU.com, a fast-growing digital publishing company that reaches over 2 million a month through the website, newsletters and social media. She also launched GetHealthyUTV.com, a membership-based website that offers full-length workouts to stream on any device, anytime, anywhere.

In addition to this, she teaches classes at Life Time Fitness, is a contributing editor to Prevention Magazine, and the fitness expert for the NBC affiliate in the Twin Cities. Along with being an ACE certified Group Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer, and Health coach, she is Pilates trained and Yogafit certified. 

Chris lives in Minneapolis with her husband of 25 years, and they have three grown kids, ages 23, 21, and 18!

Chris Freytag graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1987 with a degree in Journalism and a passion for fitness.She is an ACE certified personal trainer, health coach, and group fitness instructor. Chris has more than 25 years of experience helping people lose weight, gain muscle and get fit.

Hi, I’m Chris Freytag, founder of Get Healthy U.

I have been a fitness addict pretty much my whole life. At a young age, I discovered that movement made me feel good and it’s been my mission for the last 20+ years to help others experience what it means to be strong, both physically and mentally.For most of my life, I've also studied food, cooking healthy and eating healthy.

I’m mildly obsessed with sharing all I know with you. I want to help you figure out how exercise, strength training and eating healthy can be a part of your everyday life.

I’m a realist. I believe you can transform your body and mind … and look incredible at any age. But I’ll never blow smoke and promise you “six pack abs in 10 days." To make up for the lack of BS, I provide top-notch, practical advice and motivation that works. Remember there is no such thing as a perfect body. I want to help you strive for progress, not perfection! 

I can't wait to help you become your strongest self! Yes, You Can is what I always say!
