Dr. Daniel Amen is a double-board-certified psychiatrist and clinical neuroscientist. Since 1989, he has been treating patients of all ages who have dealt with a vast range of mental health conditions. Through two-and-a-half decades of using SPECT brain imaging as an adjunct tool for evaluating patients, he now knows that brain health is central to all health and success. Along with his colleagues at Amen Clinics, he has learned that most disorders and conditions affecting the brain are not simple or single mental health disorders, but rather they often are multiple sub-types. Understanding how a person’s brain works is the key to finding the most effective treatment for each individual. His work is dedicated to helping people have better brains and better lives.
