David T. Rubin, MD, is Associate Professor of Medicine, Department of Medicine, and Program Director for the Fellowship in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition and Co-Director of Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center at the University of Chicago Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Rubin is in practice at the Reva and David Logan Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease where his specialties include inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and colon cancer.

Dr. Rubin is a key opinion leader in the field of IBD, and has contributed to many research studies and publications about these diseases. He has also been active in advocacy for people who have IBD, and has become involved in the development of the Restroom Access Act. One of Dr. Rubin's beliefs is that people who have IBD should not be living with the symptoms of active disease, and should be able to achieve remission with the proper treatment.
