The Harris sextuplets -- Kiera, Kalynne, Kaleb, Kobe, Kieran and Kyle -- were the first surviving set of African American sextuplets. They were born in Alabama in 2002. Another set of African American sextuplets were born to the Thompson family in Washington, DC in 1997. Unfortunately, one baby was stillborn.

Millie & Christine McCoy

Millie and Christine McCoy were born to slave parents in North Carolina in 1851. They lived to the age of 61, the oldest female conjoined twins on record. They traveled throughout North America and Europe as a singers and dancers. They were nicknamed the Two-Headed Nightingale and even referred to as the eighth wonder of the world.
