Simply put, pores are tiny openings in your skin. They aren’t just there to become clogged and cause you aggravation. Pores actually have specific jobs important to the health and functioning of your skin.


What Causes Enlarged Pores?

Except for the lucky minority, most people have visible pores. That said, some have larger pores than others.

Enlarged pores can develop for many different reasons, some preventable and some not. Oily skin, sun damage, puberty and genetics all play a part.


Can Large Pores Be Closed?

There are plenty of skin care products on the market that claim to help close the pores on your face. Your best friend or your mom may also dole out tips they swear make large pores tiny. But what is the reality? Can you really close large pores?


How Can Large Pores Be Treated?

Even if you can't "close" pores, there are things you can do to make large pores appear smaller. With the right combination of skin care and treatment products, enlarged pores can become much less noticeable.
