There’s never a wrong time for ice cream and popsicles. Ditch sugary, high-calorie options for these delicious alternatives.

Enlightened: The Good-for-You Ice Cream

1/2 cup: 60 to 100 calories, 1.5 to 6g fat
1 pint: 240 to 400 calories, 6 to 24g fat

There are many worthy opponents in the "eat the pint," high-protein ice cream arena, but Enlightened is the clear winner. Nothing beats the rich creaminess of this low-calorie treat.

My favorite flavor is Caramel Oatmeal Cookie Crunch, with its caramel and cookie mix-ins. And with 100 calories or less per 1/2 cup, you really can eat the whole pint. Who wants to wash a bowl and ice cream scoop anyway?

Even better: Each serving has about 7 grams of protein (almost 30 grams per pint), and the sugar content is lower than the protein. It's one of the healthier ways to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Simply Popsicle

1 pop: 40 calories, 0g fat

Not into ice cream? Not a problem! I love classic frozen fruit pops, but I’m not a huge fan of high-fructose corn syrup and excessive amounts of sugar. Neither is Simply Popsicle.

This line is made with real cane sugar and the color comes from natural sources. The pops are available in four different flavor packs: Strawberry-Banana and Mango; Berry and Pineapple; Orange, Cherry, and Grape; and Strawberry and Raspberry. So much variety, it’s worth sharing with a friend!

Yasso Frozen Greek Yogurt Bars

1 bar: 80 to 130 calories, 0 to 6g fat

Pre-portioned sweet treats are a huge win in my book, and these Yasso Greek Yogurt Bars are impressively sized. Enjoy a satisfying portion of creamy high-protein Greek fro-yo in 15 delicious flavors. Try them all!

I love the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.

And peanut butter lovers: You have to try the Peanut Butter Cup. It's chocolate-dipped creamy peanut butter frozen yogurt, just like a frozen Reese’s on a stick! That's one way to jazz up your yogurt.

All-Natural GoodPop Frozen Pops in Orange N' Cream

1 bar: 80 calories, 4.5g fat

Remember Creamsicles and their perfect blend of tart citrus and creamy vanilla? Well, GoodPop has a natural version with only 80 calories per pop. These treats are gluten-free and dairy-free... More like GreatPop!

The sweet vanilla cream filling is made with coconut cream and the orange exterior is made from orange juice. That’s a treat you can feel good about.

Check out GoodPop’s other offerings: Strawberry Lemonade, Banana Cinnamon, and more! (Not all their varieties are vegan, but they're all incredibly tasty and made from natural ingredients.)

Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches

1 sandwich: 150 to 190 calories, 2 to 10g fat

Skinny Cow recently cleaned up the ingredients in this standout frozen dessert line, making these popular sandwiches even more desirable. Craving a classic? Grab a Vanilla Gone Wild sandwich. Or give your taste buds an adventure with Cinnamontastic Snickerdoodle and Completely Crush-worthy Cookies ‘n Cream.

Chocoholics: You also must try the chocolate-dipped sandwiches. This lineup just keeps getting better!

My/Mo Mochi

1 piece: 110 calories, 3 to 3.5g fat

Have you tried mochi ice cream? It’s a Japanese treat that's basically a ball of rich, creamy ice cream wrapped in doughy goodness. These little guys are tasty, pre-portioned, and so cute. They come in exciting flavors like Ripe Strawberry, Sweet Mango, and Mint Chocolate Chip.

The ice cream itself is sweet and creamy while the outside is mildly sweet and chewy. It’s like an ice cream bonbon! Plus, the doughy outside keeps the inside from melting fast.

 Genius and delicious!

If you're looking for a non-frozen dessert, a little creativity will give you a sweet treat for under 200 calories.
