How Long Does Librium Stay in Your System?

Detection Timetable Depends on Many Variables

Librium 25 mg
Librium (chlordiaezpoxide) is used to relieve anxiety and to control agitation caused by alcohol withdrawal.. U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration

When trying to determine exactly how long librium is detectable in the body there are several variables to consider, including which kind drug test is being used. Librium (chlordiazepoxide) - can be detected for a shorter time with some tests, but can be "visible" for up to three months in other tests.

The timetable for detecting librium in the system is also dependent upon each individual's metabolism, body mass, age, hydration level, physical activity, health conditions and other factors, making it almost impossible to determine an exact time librium will show up on a drug test.

The following is an estimated range of times, or detection windows, during which librium can be detected by various testing methods:

How Long Does Librium Stay in Urine?

Librium can be detected in a urine test for up to 1-6 weeks

How Long Does Librium Remain in the Blood?

Blood tests for Librium can detect the drugs for up to 6-48 hours

How Long Can Librium Be Detected in Saliva?

A saliva test can detect Librium for 1-10 days

How Long Does Librium Remain in Hair?

Librium, like like many other drugs, can be detected with a hair follicle drug test for up to 90 days.

Know How Long Librium Remains in the Body to Avoid Overdose

Librium is a benzodiazepine and a central nervous system depressant. It is used to relieve anxiety and to manage the symptoms of alcohol withdrawal. It can also be prescribed for to treat irritable bowel syndrome.

Because it is a central nervous system depressant, there is a risk of overdose death.

It is therefore important to know how long Librium remains in the system.

Symptoms of an overdose of benzodiazepines include:

  • Possible death

If you suspect a Librium overdose, call 9-1-1 immediately or call the National Poison Control Center (1-800-222-1222).
