How Long Does Tramadol Stay in Your System?

Detection Timetable Depends on Many Variables

How Long Does Tramadol Stay in the Body?. Amneal

A number of variables come into play when determining how long Tramadol remains in the body, including which kind drug test is being used. Tramadol - also known as Ultram, Ultracet, Tram cars - can be detected for a shorter time with some tests, but can be "visible" for up to three months in other tests.

The timetable for detecting tramadol in the system is also dependent upon each individual's metabolism, body mass, age, hydration level, physical activity, health conditions and other factors, making it almost impossible to determine an exact time tramadol will show up on a drug test.

The following is an estimated range of times, or detection windows, during which tramadol can be detected by various testing methods:

How Long Does Tramadol Stay in the Urine?

Tramadol can be detected in the urine for 2-4 days

How Long Can Tramadol Be Detected in Blood?

A blood test can identify Tramadol for up to 6 hours.

How Long Can a Saliva Test Detect Tramadol?

A saliva test can detect Tramadol for up to 1-4 days

How Long Can a Hair Test Detect Tramadol?

Tramadol, like many other drugs, can be detected with a hair follicle drug test for up to 90 days.

Preventing Tramadol Overdose

Tramadol is in a class of medications called opiate analgesics. It is, therefore, a narcotic. Tramadol is used to treat moderate to moderately severe pain.

In order to prevent an overdose of Tramadol, it is important to know how long it remains in the system so that subsequent doses are not taken too quickly.

Symptoms of a Tramadol overdose can include:

As with the case of all opioid-based drugs, Tramadol overdoses can be treated with Narcan if they are detected early enough. If you think someone has overdosed, call 9-1-1 immediately.
