First, begin by gathering the materials you will need to make your glittery paper Easter ornaments. You will need the following:

  • colored paper (in bright and pastel colors of spring)
  • double-sided tape (It should be 1/2" wide)
  • glitter (in colors that match the paper, if possible)
  • scissors
  • paper trimmer (If you don't have a paper trimmer, you can use scissors)
  • ruler
  • medium-sized glue dots or glue stick

3
Cut the paper into strips.

Using the paper trimmer or scissors, cut four to five 1/2" wide strips of paper. (If using scissors, take a ruler and measure out and then draw lines 1/2" apart to make it easier to cut straight lines.)

One strip should be about 8 1/2" long. The rest should be 4" long.

4
Put double-sided tape on the long strip of paper.

To make the ornament for egg-shaped, place the fingers of one hand on the taped spot on the circle and gently pull on the opposite side of the circle to turn your circle into an oval. This will serve as the frame for your paper Easter egg ornament.

Put tape and glitter on the shorter strips.

Take the shorter (4" long) strips and put double-sided tape on them, take care to leave about 1/4" on both ends untaped and unglittered. (You'll need about 6 strips per egg ornament).
