Marlo Mittler is a registered dietitian in practice for over 18 years and has extensive experience with clients who have food allergies. Her practice specializes in pediatric, adolescent, and family nutrition, and has worked with all ages in helping to meet their nutritional needs. In addition to private clients, she has worked as the nutrition expert at schools and camps around the country to work with meeting food allergy needs for students and campers alike.
Marlo is passionate about helping to ensure that there are food options in schools and camps for the students and campers to choose from, as well as to be sure food safety is addressed. Working in the media on a national level has also afforded her the opportunity to further share her nutrition expertise on this topic, as well as other wellness related issues.
Her company, NutritionByMarlo works with camps to create and revise menus at camps to provide healthier and kid friendly meals. Additionally, she works with these camps to provide options for those with food allergies, teaches food/cooking safety and to secure new foods to meet their needs while at camp. She has also served as a nutrition expert in the national media on television, in radio, magazines and on the web covering a variety of nutrition topics for over 15 years.
It is all about "Fooditude!" I believe a positive, healthy and hopeful state of mind about eating, food and nutrition is what its all about. When you take this approach, finding the best possible outcomes in making food choices (i.e., eating, cooking, shopping, etc) starts to become easier. This will change frustration to enjoyment and failure into success. Facing food allergies might seem like an obstacle at first, but with the right "fooditude" it will be nothing but a bump in the road. And one that can easily be managed in a healthy, fun, delicious and safe way.
