The best health insurance is a good understanding of your medical conditions and the options available to you. The aim of the About.com health sites is to help you find what you need to know to prevent, detect and treat the most common medical conditions, and to empower you to become a well-informed and active partner (instead of a passive ‘recipient’ of health care) in managing your own health.
