Merry-Jennifer Markham, MD, FACP, is a board-certified medical oncologist who specializes in the treatment of gynecologic cancers.
Dr. Markham is an academic medical oncologist who specializes in the treatment of gynecologic malignancies, including ovarian, uterine, and cervical cancers. She is an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Hematology-Oncology at the University of Florida, in Gainesville, Florida. She is the Program Leader for the UF Health Cancer Center's Multidisciplinary Gynecologic Oncology Program.
She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO), and she is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP).
Dr. Markham’s academic interests and research focus include clinical trials for women with gynecologic cancers, quality of cancer care, and cancer survivorship.
Dr. Markham received her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Florida and her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She completed an internal medicine residency, one year as Chief Medical Resident, and a hematology-oncology fellowship at the University of Florida College of Medicine. She is board certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology.
