I'll bet you thought that measuring cups and spoons were enough, right? You really do need a scale for weighing certain foods, though. Your scale doesn't need to be fancy or beautiful, it just needs to be accurate! Weigh proteins (chicken, fish, etc.), nuts, dry pasta, potatoes, and anything a recipe lists by ounces or pounds.

Even complete kitchen klutzes and people who can't follow a recipe to save their lives can whip up a healthy meal using a skillet. Just spritz with nonstick spray and bring to medium-high heat. Add veggies and lean protein cut similar in size. Cook and stir until veggies have softened and protein is cooked through, then toss with your favorite low-calorie sauce and enjoy!
