5 All-Natural Snacks to Add to Your Grocery List

All-Natural Snacks to Add to Your Grocery List

I’m Hungry Girl Lisa Lillien, and I’ve been scouring the shelves for the very best natural snack finds. Here are five of my top picks.

SeaSnax Chomperz Crunchy Seaweed Chips

1/2 pack: 40 calories, 2g total fat (0g sat fat), 85mg sodium, 6g carbs, 0g fiber, <1g sugars, 4g protein

These aren’t your typical boring, flat sheets of seaweed. They’re the crunchy, savory snack of your dreams! In Original, Barbecue, Jalapeno, and Onion, these organic seaweed crisps have a sturdy texture that lives up to the “chip” categorization.

You can have an entire bag of the savory snack for just 80 calories, and it’s a delicious 80 calories. Pick up a pack or two... or three... or four!

Tribe Swirl Hummus

2 tablespoons: 50 - 60 calories, 3 - 4g total fat (0g sat fat), 125 - 190mg sodium, 4 - 5g carbs, 1g fiber, 0 - 1g sugars, 1 - 2g protein

There’s hummus, and then there’s this hummus. This amazing find is basically two dips in one: chickpea hummus plus mix-ins like Salsa, Fiery Sriracha, Sweet Red Pepper, and Garlic & Herb. The goodies are swirled into the entire tub, so you get flavor in every single bite. Try it with carrot sticks, jicama, or another crunchy veggie for a nutritious, delicious, natural snack. Double yum!

Yasso Frozen Greek Yogurt Bars (Select Flavors)

1 bar: 80 - 100 calories, 0 - 2.5g fat (0 - 1.5g sat fat), 35 - 100mg sodium, 15 - 19g carbs, 0 - 1g fiber, 11 -16g sugars, 5 - 6g protein

Yasso Frozen Greek Yogurt Bars are the ultimate sweet snacks.

In flavors like Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Mint Chocolate Chip, and Coconut, they’re perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth and your hunger pangs at the same time! After all, they pack a nice protein punch! The brand comes out with new all-natural varieties all the time, so you’ll never get bored.

(I excluded the Sea Salt Caramel Candy Bar, Toffee Crunch Candy Bar, and Peanut Butter Cup flavors from the stats above because they’re a little different from the rest – they’re dipped in chocolate, and they have 130 - 150 calories and 7 - 8g fat, significantly more than the other varieties. Not terrible, but the others are better choices!)

And if you're still craving sweets, you can try a dessert recipe with 200 calories or less.

Kashi Savory Crunch Bars

2 bars: 130 - 140 calories, 5g total fat (0.5 - 1g sat fat), 160mg sodium, 20g carbs, 4g fiber, 3g sugars, 3g protein

I can always trust Kashi, a pioneer in the natural-food movement, to come through with innovative tasty snacks. These not-sweet gluten-free snack bars are no exception! They’re more like big, thick crackers than typical bars. Actually, they’d be delicious dipped into that Tribe Swirl Hummus!

The bars are made from grains, seeds, dried veggies, and other natural ingredients and they come in portion-controlled, 2-bar pouches.

Try both the Andean Inspired (Quinoa, Corn & Roasted Pepper) and Mediterranean Inspired (Basil, White Bean & Olive Oil) varieties. Fair warning: The Andean one is pretty spicy!

Way Better Snacks—A (Nach)o Above Tortilla Chips

About 9 chips (28g): 140 calories, 8g total fat (1g sat fat), 160mg sodium, 15g carbs, 2g fiber, 1g sugars, 2g protein

That serving size may not sound tremendous, but these chips are LARGE. They're also thick, tasty, and totally worth the stats. They taste just like (more delicious!) Doritos, but they’re made with wholesome ingredients like flax, quinoa, and chia. For a majorly satisfying snack, dip them in salsa or some holy moly guacamole.
