Just look at these pretty Rainbow Loom bracelets -- don't they just get you in the mood for Halloween? All you need is a loom, some rubber bands in orange and black, and a hook. Read on for instructions on how to make this beautiful bracelet.

You can alternate the black and orange in single or stripes or use more orange and black rubber bands together to make double blocks of color (such as the one on the left).

2
Put a rubber band on 2 pegs of the loom going left.

To begin, make sure your loom is facing the right way, with the red arrow pointing up. Place your first rubber band on the center peg and the peg on the left, as shown.

3
Put the next rubber band going toward the right.

Place the next rubber band on the loom, this time going from the center to the peg on the right. (NOTE: This is the pattern you will be using for this entire bracelet--going from left to right.)

4
Put your next rubber band on the loom.

Next, put a rubber band on the loom, once again going from left to right. This time, put the rubber band from the peg on the left and put it on the peg in the center (see photo).

5
Next, complete the diamond shape.

Now put a rubber band from the center peg to the peg on the right. This will complete your diamond shape. (This is why it's called a "diamond" pattern!)

6
Make more diamonds in the same pattern.

Keep making more diamonds. Katherine Lee

Following the exact same order, make more diamonds with your rubber bands until you reach the top.

(To make the thicker stripes of color for the Halloween bracelet, simply use four orange rubber bands to make the diamond, then four black rubber bands to make the next diamond, and so on.)

Add one more rubber band at the top, either going to the left or to the right.

9
Next, turn the loom around and get your hook.

Next, turn the loom around and unhooking and re-hooking the rubber bands onto the loom pegs.

First, grab the top black rubber band with your hook. (NOTE: It's super-helpful to pick up the loom and look at it sideways to see which rubber band you are grabbing. In this pattern, there are 2 black ones; grab only the one on the top, which is the one that goes to the peg on the left.)

Unhook only that top black rubber band carefully and take it over to the hook on the left (so that you are essentially doubling it upon itself). See the next photo for a top view of this step.

Grab the other black rubber band and go to the right.

Using your hook again, grab the other black rubber band and go to the right.

12
Next, grab the orange rubber band on the left.

Grab the orange rubber band on the left side of the loom and unhook it. Take it over to the center peg and hook it on there.

13
Grab the orange rubber band on the right.

Now hook the orange band on the right. Katherine Lee

Grab the top orange rubber band on the right peg and unhook it. (Again, you may want to pick up the loom to see which orange rubber band you are grabbing.) Bring it to the center peg and hook it on there so that you are doubling that orange rubber band onto itself.

14

Next, grab the top black rubber band.

Next, grab the top black rubber band (the one going to the peg on the left) and unhook and re-hook it to the peg on the left (again, doubling it over on itself as you've been doing with each rubber band).

16
Grab the remaining black rubber band and go to the right.

Grab the remaining black rubber band and take it to the right (again, doubling it on itself).

Continue unhooking and re-hooking your rubber bands using the same pattern until you reach the very top. (So, in the next step, you will grab the orange rubber band on the left and put it on the center peg; then you will take the orange rubber band on the right peg and put it on the center peg. And so on.)

17
Your loom will look like this at this stage.

This is what your loom will look like once you have finished unhooking and re-hooking the rest of the rubber bands.

18
To finish your Halloween bracelet, put your hook through the top peg.

For the last step of this Halloween diamond pattern bracelet, take your hook and put it down through the top peg and turn it slightly left. Put a black rubber band on at the end of the hook and pull the hook back up, stopping when the rubber band is halfway through.

To secure the rubber band to the end of your bracelet (which will basically serve to close up your bracelet on this end), simply cross that end loop of the rubber band that you just put on the hook and put it over the first loop.

Then, while holding securely onto the first loop, gently pull the hook out. Keep pulling on that first loop to secure your rubber band.

19
Hold on to the rubber band loop and remove the bracelet from the loom.

Hold on to the rubber band loop you just made and slowly begin unhooking your bracelet from the loom.

Your child will be so proud and will definitely feel a sense of satisfaction when she removes the rubber bands and has a beautiful Halloween bracelet on her hands. Secure both ends to a "c" clip and you're done!

And there you have it: a beautiful diamond pattern Halloween Rainbow Loom rubber band bracelet. Play around with different color patterns (you can double up the oranges and blacks and can even add some white in there as well, for example) and let your child come up with her own designs. Then she can wear it with different Rainbow Loom Halloween pattern bracelets (like the basic single pattern bracelet) for a fun and festive look for Halloween!
