Zucchini Noodles, a.k.a Z'paghetti

Let’s start with a classic: zucchini noodles! Z'paghetti, as I like to call it, is a fantastic pasta alternative. One cup of regular cooked pasta has about 200 calories and 40 grams of carbs.

Spiralized Apple Pie

Mmmmmm, apple pie… What were we talking about? Oh, yeah, veggie spiralizers! One unexpected way to use your spiralizer is to make a low-calorie version of this great American dessert. You’ll need a tabletop spiralizer like the Veggetti Pro for this one, and it’s totally worth the investment.

The recipe is super simple. Here's a recap: Once the apples are spiralized, mix them with cinnamon, no-calorie sweetener, vanilla extract, cornstarch, and salt. Then cook in a skillet until softened. Voila! It tastes just like apple pie filling, and the noodle-y shape makes it extra fun.

Veggie-Noodle Greek Pasta Salad

Have you been looking for something to do with those cucumbers sitting in your vegetable drawer?

 Here’s your answer! Bust out that spiralizer and turn them into a low-calorie, low-carb Greek salad. All you have to do is spiralize the cucumber into spaghetti shapes, and mix with cherry tomatoes, red onion, reduced-fat feta, olives, and light vinaigrette. It's a refreshing spin on pasta salad you'll flip for.

Broccoli Stalks

Don’t throw away your broccoli stalks! They’re full of perfectly good nutrients, not to mention crunchy deliciousness. Spiralize them and you’ll have a glorious stockpile of veggie noodles to use throughout the week. Throw them into salads for extra flavor and crunch; add them to soup to make it more filling; bake them into meatloaf for added fiber… the possibilities are endless! It’s actually a little like broccoli coleslaw, which I also love.  

Shoestring Fries

The biggest problem with French fries isn't the potatoes. It's the tremendous amount of oil they soak up when fried. This is especially true for skinny fries like the shoestring variety. Well, good news: You can bake up your own healthy shoestring fries with the help of your trusty spiralizer.

Just spiralize a potato and toss it onto a baking sheet sprayed with nonstick spray. Lightly spritz with more spray, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake until crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and dip in your condiment of choice!
