These Non-Slip Socks Will Change Your Workout

Yoga and Pilates are famously barefoot workouts, so you might wonder why you would want to wear socks to do them. Aside from warming up cold feet, you might want to wear them as a hygienic alternative to bare feet, especially if you're working out in a public place. Slipping during workouts might already be an issue for you that socks will only worsen, right? Not necessarily. Enter ToeSox.

ToeSox began as a solution to slipping feet and cold toes during yoga classes.

The original five-toe grip socks were created in a small Los Angeles garage and became popular in yoga, Pilates, dance and barre classes.

In addition, long days spent in constricting, closed-toe footwear and nights out in high heels wreak havoc on our feet, and it's important to take care of them. There's a reason why ToeSox are designed with five toes. The design is good for feet. It relieves pain from being stuck in uncomfortable footwear, can reverse foot damage, activates and strengthens muscles, and increases blood circulation.

The individual toe sleeves take some getting used to, but that individuality is actually really good for your toes. A little separation between the toes in healthy. The socks force the toes to function independently as you move.

Types of ToeSox

ToeSox makes so many different styles: some with grips for exercise, some for everyday wear, some that cover half the toes, etc.

My ToeSox Experience

After I got used to wearing ToeSox, I actually started to like the feeling of separated toes. I've worn my ToeSox when I'm working out and when I'm not working out with regular shoes, and they're comfortable either way. I can wear them all day long and my feet feel fine.

The non-slip element of ToeSox is really what's most important for workouts that require balance, like Pilates and yoga. The last thing you want to do is slip. There are ToeSox that don't have non-skid soles, but you might want a little extra grip for certain exercises. The grips on ToeSox don't get stuck or stifle movement. In fact, they actually improve your workout and make it easier.

They are very form-fitting and I feel more secure in them than I do in plain, non-slip socks. I also appreciate that ToeSox are made with 90 percent organic cotton. The non-slip grip, combined with the toe separation and fun patterns and colors makes ToeSox fun and functional.
