Do you know how many calories are in a Whopper, a Whopper Jr. or a Veggie Burger at Burger King? Their fast food menu offers several options if you’re a burger lover. But if you’re counting calories or trying to lose weight, you need to pay attention to the nutritional information of your favorite Burger King sandwich before you make a choice.

Calories in Burger King Burgers

According to nutritional information posted by the company, there are 650 calories in a Burger King Whopper.

If you add cheese, the number jumps to 730 calories. The Double Whopper provides 900 calories or 990 with cheese. And the Triple Whopper provides a whopping 1160 calories.

You might think that the BK Veggie Burger is the burger that is lowest in calories, but there are actually 390 calories in that sandwich. If you skip the mayo, however, you lower the number to 320 calories.  A lower calorie option is the Whopper Jr. with 340 calories or 280 calories without mayo.

Best Burger King Burger for Dieters

If you're looking for the lowest calorie burger at Burger King, the smartest choice is a plain hamburger. The plain version has 230 calories and if you add cheese, you'll consume 270 calories. Of course, if you add French fries or a soda to your meal, your diet will suffer. A small order of fries contains 240 calories. Even Burger King's lower-calorie Satisfries will boost the calorie count of your meal by 190 calories.
