RealAge Review

RealAge is a test that predicts just that: your real age. It's considered a longevity calculator, although it doesn't actually estimate your life expectancy. Rather, your real age acts as more of a prediction of your life expectancy. RealAge is a part of Sharecare, a health-centric online community, and is also affiliated with health expert and TV personality Dr. Mehmet Oz.

In order to take this test you have to make a RealAge account and enter your email address. If you want to become a part of the Sharecare community, which is truly a fantastic resource for anyone looking to improve his or lifestyle, this isn't a problem, but if your inbox can't handle another unwanted email, it's as simple as unsubscribing.

The test is split into four sections: health, feelings, diet and fitness. It takes about 20 minutes to complete, which is longer than other longevity calculators I've used, so be sure you allow yourself time to concentrate on the questions. Some are complicated. You don't need to know every single detail about your health history in order to take this test, but knowing a few things will help you get more accurate results: your cholesterol, blood pressure and any vitamins you take, including the doses, to name a few.

After completing the test, your RealAge results appear on the next page. Our test subject who tried RealAge was given an actual age 11.7 years younger than their biological age. Results also include a list of personalized recommendations for each of the test's four sections. These tips on health, feelings, diet and fitness are meant to improve your lifestyle.

These recommendations include everything from watching your blood pressure, to expanding your social circle, to eating more fruits and vegetables, to doing more flexibility exercises. Not only do these tips explain what you need to do; they also explain why you need to do them. They also contain links to helpful resources that will help you make the changes, such as quick exercises and high-energy meals to start the day.

Overall, RealAge is a great test if you take your time and have the information to get the most accurate results possible. At 20 minutes total, it is a bit long, but the results are well worth your time, and taking the comprehensive, personalized recommendations into consideration might actually make a difference in your lifestyle.
