Baby names are something that parents typically spend a great deal of time discussing. Having a baby and picking the right name is very important and there are a lot of things that will go into that decision. That said, when you throw in another baby to the mix - twins! Naming twins is much more complex than naming a single baby. Now you have to not only find the right name, but match it with another baby name for a sibling who is the same age.

This gets complicated.

Popular Names and Twin Baby Names

One thing that we know to be true is that if there is a popular baby name out there, it is also likely to be used for a twin baby name. Though it is not always possible to find a desirable twin name to go with a first name in terms of popularity. This leads to one baby having a popular name, and the other twin having to cope with having a name that is more out there, if you will.

Every year the Social Security Administration compiles, not only the most popular baby names, but the most popular names for twins. This includes boy/boy twins, girl/girl twins and girl/boy twins. After each set of names, you'll see the number of twin sets who were given that name.

Most Popular Twin Names for Girl/Girl Twins
