A popular option for infant transportation is a travel system, a combination of an infant car seat and a stroller that makes it easy to transport a baby with minimal disruption. Baby is securely buckled into an infant car seat that snaps into a base installed in your vehicle when you're on the go, and then attaches onto a stroller frame when you're out and about.

If you are a looking for a travel system for twins, here are some double strollers to consider. While there are few double strollers marketed as true travel systems, many double strollers can be adapted for use as a travel system. Some include one or two adapters with the purchase of a stroller, while others require adapters that are sold separately. All but one require the additional purchase of two infant car seats. Some can be used with many brands and models of seats, while others are restricted to their own products.

Baby Trend Snap-N-Go Double is not really a travel system, or even really a stroller. It's a stroller frame. In order to use it, you must purchase infant car seats separately. Once your twin babies outgrow the infant car seats, you no longer have a usable stroller. This is not a long-term stroller for twins. After the first year or so, you will have to buy another double stroller.

However, in the meantime, it is a very economical and practical double stroller for transporting twin babies. It is lightweight; the frame is only 18 pounds. When folded, it easily fits in most vehicles. And at least than $100, it won't cost as much as a car payment.

Remember, you also have to buy two infant car seats to use it. Baby Trend Snap-N-Go Double works with many popular brands of infant car seats, including the Baby Trend, Graco, Evenflo, Peg Perego, Britax and Chicco. Check the manufacturer's website to confirm which models are acceptable.
